On its own, a quality cold air intake typically adds 5-15 horsepower. The real benefit comes when paired with an ECU tune that can take advantage of the increased airflow—combined gains can reach 25-50+ horsepower on turbocharged applications.
Will an intake cause a check engine light?
A properly designed intake for your specific vehicle should not trigger a check engine light. Issues arise with universal or poorly designed kits that alter airflow past the MAF sensor. We only install intakes that are validated for your exact vehicle platform.
Do intake systems require maintenance?
Most performance intakes use reusable oiled or dry-flow filters that need cleaning every 15,000-30,000 miles. This is simpler and more cost-effective than replacing disposable factory air filters, and maintains optimal airflow throughout the filter’s life.
